Combined Mutual Wednesday December 23rd

This Wednesday the Young Men are in charge and we think we're going caroling.  Dress warm and bring cookies.  If you can't bring cookies, please still come.  We are missing some of you girls that we haven't seen in a while.  Meet at the church at 6:30. 

Mutual Wednesday, December 16th

We will be delivering Christmas baskets with the Young Men. Dress warm!! We will be singing a few Christmas carols as when we deliver them.

Also, if you have any clothes you would like to give away to those in need, please bring them.

Beahive Activity Saturday 10/12

We are going to be baking and decorating christmas cookies at Sister Mejia's house saturday from 6-8:30.  Bring any decorating stuff you want to use like sprinkles or gumdrops. We will provied the dough, frosting and 100 different cookie cutters!  Call sister mejia (420-5927) or Sister Wilson (425-422-5821) for directions or for a ride.

Date for Leadership Retreat has changed

Please note that the leadership retreat will be Saturday the 19th at 8:00am at the church.  Come with lots of ideas for activities.  We will then be heading up to Baker to sled for a few hours.

Mutual December 9th

Service!  We are making hairclips with white bows for to send to Temples for families who are going to be sealed. Please bring 1 yard of white fabric ribbon whith you (it can have designs on it, just has to be white).

Mutual Wednesday Dec. 2nd

We will be making wreaths(for those who want to) and playing games.  If you have wire, greenery, wreath forms, decorations, glue gun, you can bring these items with you.  I will have some with me, but you may want to add your own personal touch to your wreath.

We are NOT going to the Cannery...Mutual is Wednesday Dec. 2nd 6:30pm

There is an age limit, so we will not be going to the cannery Tuesday.  Come to the church at 6:30pm Wednesday as usual.

The beehives will be joining the Mia Maid/Laurels activity.  Please call the girls in your class and let them know about this change.

Mutual is cancelled this week due to Thanksgiving.  Enjoy the time with your families!

Wednesday Nov. 18th

We are going to Merinda Picketts to bring a dinner and help clean up the house.  We will also be visiting their new baby!!  For those girls who want to...(it is not part of mutual, but will pass of personal progress) we are meeting at Sister Reed's house at 5:00pm to put together the dinner, and then heading over to the church at 6:30pm for mutual.  If you have any questions, call Annie.

Baby has arrived!

Merinda has delivered a baby boy (kolston).  Any girls who would like to help me clean and make a dinner for her should call Annie.

A performance Wednesday night!

We will be meeting at the church at 6:30pm and then driving over to Burlington for Tessa's violin recital.  We will be back about 8:30pm (a little later than normal), but it would be great for all the girls to go.

Young Women's Wednesday Nov. 4th is Young Women in Excellence. Parents please attend with your daughters in church dress. Dinner will be served.

Halloween Party!

This Wednesday 10/28 is our Annual Halloween Party!  Yay!  We will be combining it with Mount Vernon 1st ward so it will be more fun.  There will be a costume contest and more fun games and food.  Invite your friends and come for a night of Halloween fun!  Remember to share the rules with your friends about the costume contest.  No crossdressing, masks, or other immodest/ inapropriate dress.  Come to the church at 6:30 and be prepared to stay having lots of fun until 8:30.  See you there!

Wednesday, October 21st

It's Boo "ing" night!  Wear your running shoes.  It will be a blast.  Remember to bring 1 dozen cookies.

October 7th

We will be at the church tonight for mutual.  It starts at 6:30pm and will end at 8:00pm.  The first Wednesday of every month the classes seperate for activities.  The activity will involve planning and writing a 2-3 minute talk for Young Women in Excellence.  Please bring your Personal Progress Books, workbooks, and scriputres.  See you tonight!

Mutual- Wednesday Sept 30th

Meet at the church @ 6:30.  We are having a sewing/PJ night.  We will finish sewing our bags and we will also check off personal progress so bring your books.  Sister Williams will be bringing some surprise, magnificent, amazing dessert for us so don't miss out!

Pictures from EFY Dance

Here are some pictures of our Young Women having fun at the EFY Dance.  This year the 12 and 13-year-olds were allowed to stay for the dance.  For many of them this is the first time they've been to a dance or even danced with a boy.  They seemed to have really enjoyed themselves!

The Best of EFY

Don't forget.... This Saturday, September 19th is EFY (Especially For Youth). It will be at the Mount Vernon Stake Center starting at 3:30. Wear Sunday Dress. We are expecting some really great speakers. They will feed you dinner and the dance starts at 7:00 and ends at 10:00. Beehives.... You get to come to the dance too! Yay! Sister Annie Reed will be their with you during the day and Sister Merinda Pickett and her husband Nick will be chaperoning the dance that night.

Wednesday's Mutual 9/16

This week we will be working on finishing our bags that we are sewing. If you haven't been sewing a bag please still come. Everyone bring your personal progress books so you can have things checked off and discuss your projects with a leader. See you at the church at 6:30!

Wednesday Mutual Activity September 2nd

This Wednesday meet at the church at 6:30 PM. We will be going shopping for fabric. Sister Nielson is going to teach us how to sew bags for church or whatever we want to use them for. This may be a good activity to use towards one of your personal progress projects. Come shopping with us so you can choose a fabric you like for your bag!

Jet Skiing

Last week the girls went Jet Skiing with the young men. Here are some pics of the fun they had. Thank you Brother Bateman for letting us come to your house and use your jet ski!

North Seattle Stake Dance Sat Aug 29

Tomorrow Sister Elizabeth Beaver will be driving down to take Ben to the North Seattle Stake Dance. She asked me to post this blog to invite you to come. She will be leaving at 7:30 PM and will be back by 12:00 AM. She can give you a ride and bring you home. Wednesday the 26th Mutual-Combined

This Wednesday we are going to Brother Bateman's to go Jet Skiing with the boys. Be at the church at 4:30 PM and please dress modestly. Take some time to call some young women we haven't seen in a while to come to our activity.

Rock Climbing-5:00pm

We will be rock climbing on Mt. Erie for mutual Wednesday. We are meeting at the church at 5:00pm and will be back at 8:30pm. Wear comfy clothes and good hiking shoes. It is safe and tons of fun! Bring friends.

Bummer Weather ~Activity Changed~

Sorry girls! Due to the rain we obviously didn't make it water skiing. McKayla did an awesome job planning a last minute activity, but that was cancelled too. So we will be having a game night at the church on Wednesday (tomorrow) at 6:30. Wear comfy clothes and good shoes that you can run in. We will have fun despite the weather! We will try to do the water skiing at a later date.

Mutual- Monday, August 10

This week we are having our mutual activity on Monday, August 10th.

We are going skiing with the Tenney's. Meet at the church at 1:00PM. Wear your swimsuit and bring sunblock! We are also having a hot dog roast at 5:30. You will be back by 8:00PM. It is girls only so you don't need to worry about the boys seeing you in your swimming suit. Come have fun even if you don't know how to ski!

PJ Night

This Wednesday, August 5th we are having our monthly PJ Night (personal progress journaling). It is going to be at McKayla Williams' house from 6:30-8:00. We are also making homemade pizza's! YAY! So come in your snazzy pajama's with your personal progress book and be ready to make some pizza. Bring your favorite pizza topping if you want to. See you there!!! A Party to Go To!

On Saturday Ben Beaver from our ward is turning 14. He is having a dance/party at his house and all MV2nd & 1st Ward Youth (YW & YM) are invited to attend. There will be adult and YW Leader supervision. Bring your friends!!!

Wednesday July 22nd Mutual

This Wednesday we're having our combined YW/YM Activity. The Young Men are in charge. Meet at the church at 6:30PM. We are going to Jefferson Elementary school for some games/sports. Wear running shoes and comfortable clothes.

Wednesday July 15th

Meet at the church @ 6:30PM. We will be decorating the camp flag and working on our ditties. Come prepared to paint and be creative. Our theme for this year's camp is The Survivor and our camp girls name is Tahini Sweeties.

Wednesday May 20th

We are meeting at 6:00pm at the church to go shopping for Night of Weddings. McKayla and Tessa are heading up the activity, so come ready to shop!
